Eco-Sewing
I have been using jeans to create tote and other second hand clothes to create aprons; children’s apparel and details too add gentle-worn clothes. I already have many clothes left that I am not using in my original line. I do not want to give away these to the thrift stores or charities where many many people tend to send them away at the same time. I have received letters from the ASPCA, animal shelters, etc for Donations. I cant afford to give $$$ but I feel guilty not doing more to help these shelters to save animals. So, I had an idea. What about using these leftover clothes to make blankets, dog beds, catnip toys, and so forth? I invite friends and their friends to come over and do sew together in circle. I have planned to donate these things to places like the ASPCA, Bide-a-Wee, Animal Shelters.
